The release of GodotOS has taken place – an interface for operating systems fully created in the Godot game engine.
GodotOS allows users to work with folders, edit text files, view images, run games, and much more within a polished interface that can even be used on the internet.
The developers note that GodotOS is not so much a serious project as it is an experimental toy. GodotOS aims to push the boundaries of user interface design in Godot by creating a minimalist and aesthetically pleasing desktop that serves as a hub for small games integrated directly into the environment.
You can watch a demonstration of GodotOS in this the video.
