KingStation 0.3a has been released â a multi-system emulator for classic gameplay.
The project is built on RetroArch but focuses on user-friendliness without additional features or game balance disruption. For instance, there are no cheats, time manipulation, or state saving.
Key changes in version 0.3a:
- Basic support for video and audio playback has been added, allowing you to watch videos with image adjustments to your liking.
- The volume slider now resembles that of a television.
- Sound response delay to key presses has been fixed.
- The KingStation and RetroArch cores no longer work together directly and require rebuilding. The goal of KingStation is to recreate the environment of a system identical across different devices, but features like overclocking, upscaling, texture replacement, and so on violate this principle.
You can download KingStation here, currently versions for Linux and Windows are available, but future releases for other systems (such as Android) are possible.
