Release of the minimalist distribution Tiny Core Linux 15.0

The release of the minimalist Linux distribution Tiny Core Linux 15.0 has been published, which can operate on systems with 48 MB of RAM. The graphical environment of the distribution is based on the Tiny X server, the FLTK toolkit, and the FLWM window manager. The distribution loads entirely into RAM and runs from memory. The bootable ISO image occupies only 18 MB. A CorePure64 build for 64-bit systems is also available, sized at 24 MB. Additionally, a CorePlus build (253 MB) is provided, which includes a number of extra packages such as a collection of window managers (FLWM, JWM, IceWM, Fluxbox, Hackedbox, Openbox), an installer with the ability to install additional extensions, as well as a ready toolset for network access, including a manager for setting up WiFi connections.

In the new release, system components have been updated, including the Linux kernel 6.6.8, glibc 2.38, gcc 13.2.0, busybox 1.36.1, binutils 2.41, e2fsprogs 1.47.0, util-linux 2.39.2, and zlib 1.3. The update-everything utility has been enhanced with additional security checks and the processing of missing dep-files has been implemented. A md5check handler has been added to tce-audit. In busybox, the editing history size (CONFIG_FEATURE_EDITING_HISTORY) has been increased from 150 to 1000.
