On February 28, 2024, WinRAR and RAR version 7.0 were released. The console version of RAR is natively available on FreeBSD, Linux, and macOS (Intel and Silicon), the RAR with a graphical interface is for Android, and WinRAR with graphical and console interfaces is for Windows (64-bit and 32-bit).
What's new:
- Support for dictionaries of up to 64 gigabytes has been added.
- The maximum directory length has been increased from 2047 to 65535 characters.
- It is now possible to specify any dictionary size over 4 gigabytes.
