The DSL 2024 distribution has been released, which is a revival of the old Linux distribution for weak x86 computers. The distribution is based on AntiX 23 i386.
All applications included in the distribution have been selected based on the following criteria: functionality, small size, and minimal dependencies. DSL 2024 comes with a large number of console applications.

The apt package manager is included by default in the new version of DSL; in the old version, apt had to be installed via a script.
The new goal of the project is to create a desktop distribution that fits on a CD (700 MB).
To achieve this size, only the following localizations are included by default in the distribution: en_US, en_BG, en_CA, en_AU, and documentation has been removed, including many man pages. The author claims that scripts will be provided to install the missing files.
