Compared to Wine, Wine Staging offers 430 additional patches. In the new Wine Staging release, synchronization with the Wine 9.8 codebase and vkd3d has been achieved. A patch implementing the ID3DXEffect::SetRawValue method in Direct3D 9 has been added. The vkd3d-latest, odbc-remove-unixodbc, and ddraw-GetPickRecords patches have been updated.
Six patches have been transferred to the core Wine composition, five of which are related to enhancing the functionality of the Wine Interface Definition Language (WIDL) implementation, while one provides the capability to build the stdole32.tlb library with the flag ‘—oldtlb’. Patches ntdll-CriticalSection, Pipelight, and winex11-XEMBED, which are now obsolete, have been removed.
