Hydra – a game launcher that features a built-in BitTorrent client and supports automatic tracking of new releases on all noteworthy sites, with notifications for updates. Additionally, the launcher allows users to customize download paths and provides game metrics from HLTB (How Long To Beat).
The launcher is built on the Electron platform using TypeScript and Python, which handles interactions with the libtorrent library and supports Windows and Linux platforms. Ready-to-use releases are available on github, with both deb and rpm packages prepared for the Linux platform. The code is distributed under the MIT license.
