An experimental release of the open implementation of the Win32 API — Wine 9.12 has occurred. Since the release of 9.11, 24 bug reports have been closed and 310 changes have been made.
The most significant changes:
- The Wine Mono engine with .NET platform implementation has been updated to release 9.2.0.
- Initial support for placing user32 library data structures in shared memory has been added.
- The engine used in the CMD.EXE command interpreter has been rewritten.
- Handled asynchronous input/output states when operating in WoW64 mode (64-bit Windows-on-Windows), allowing 32-bit Windows applications to run in 64-bit Unix systems.
- Bug reports related to applications have been closed: FL Studio 21, CUERipper 2.1.x, ESET SysInspector 1.4.2.0, cmd.exe, wpcap.
- Bug reports related to games have been closed: Assassin’s Creed, Assassin’s Creed: Revelations, Assassin’s Creed III, SuddenStrike 3, Death to Spies.
