OpenShot 3.2.0, the new release of the popular free video editor, includes numerous new features, new themes, and significant performance improvements.
This release introduces two new themes: Retro and Cosmic Dusk. Enhancements have been made to functionality and performance, including improved timeline interactions, a new 'Remove Gap' feature to eliminate unwanted gaps between clips, upgraded 'Split Clip' and 'Preview' features, new icons for markers and the playback ruler for all themes, support for Blender 4.1, and enhanced Blender animations.
Improvements have also been made to Undo/Redo functionality, high-resolution display support, object tracking and detection effects, property editor, font processing in the title editor (for AppImage), and much more.
A number of bugs have been fixed, stability has been improved, changes have been made to the Lua API, camera support has been expanded, and Java support has been added.
A key new feature is 'Remove Gap', which allows users to easily eliminate unwanted gaps between clips with a single click. All clips to the right will shift left by the amount of the gap. Users can also right-click on the track and select 'Remove All Gaps'.
Version 3.2 also includes the new Cosmic Dusk theme, which is currently included as a 'preview' to gather feedback and share progress. In this theme, you will see new toolbars, new icons, a more compact and efficient timeline design, moved undo and redo buttons closer to the timeline, and much more.
