The release of PCSX2 version 2.0 has taken place. PCSX2 is a cross-platform PlayStation 2 emulator available on Linux, macOS, chromeOS (x64), and Windows. The emulator has been in development since 2002.
Notable innovations:
- the graphical interface is now on Qt6;
- integration of RetroAchievements;
- native support for DualShock 4 and DualSense gamepads;
- prototype of Big Picture mode;
- the plugin system is no longer available;
- native support for Mac on Apple Silicon;
- Vulkan support has been added;
- support for Windows 8 has been removed; now Windows is only supported on versions 10 and 11.
In addition to the above, the support for PlayStation 2 games has been improved.
