Looking Glass has begun supplying three new models of holographic displays. Larger 16-inch and 32-inch Looking Glass displays are available now. The first will cost $4000, while the price of the second is available upon request. By the end of the month, you will be able to purchase the compact Looking Glass Go holographic display, about the size of a modern smartphone, for $299.
Looking Glass first released the holographic digital photo frame Portrait for $399 at the end of 2020 through the crowdfunding platform Kickstarter. The company followed a similar approach with the launch of the new six-inch holographic display, Looking Glass Go. The device features a foldable stand with an adjustable angle.

Looking Glass aims to lower the entry barrier for customers regarding content. Now owners can display spatial images using their own equipment—a feature that Apple first introduced on the iPhone 15 Pro and the Vision Pro headset. Looking Glass also offers software that can convert old 2D photos into 3D and stream them to the display via Wi-Fi.
"With the Apple Vision Pro and new spatial 3D capture capabilities in phones, we decided it was time for a holographic device without a headset for regular users," reads the description on the Looking Glass Go page.
Before the launch of Go, the company reported shipping "tens of thousands" of displays. Given that the price range for their products now starts just below $300, it’s reasonable to assume that the number of buyers will continue to grow.
Nonetheless, the cost of holographic displays remains too high for the mass market. While scaling production is gradually reducing the cost per unit, there is still a long way to go before holographic digital photo frames achieve widespread popularity.
