The release of the specialized distribution Tails 6.6 (The Amnesic Incognito Live System) has been finalized, based on the Debian 12 package base, featuring the GNOME 43 desktop and designed for anonymous internet access. Anonymous access in Tails is ensured by the Tor system. All connections, except traffic through the Tor network, are blocked by the packet filter by default. User data is stored with encryption in persistence mode between sessions. An ISO image has been prepared to operate in live mode, sized at 1 GB.
In the new version, Tor Browser 13.5.2, the email client Thunderbird 115.14.0, and firmware packages have been updated. Support for new graphics cards and wireless adapters has been improved. Allowance has been made for enabling multiple network interfaces simultaneously. The maximum wait time before an error message is displayed when unable to unlock the persistent storage has been increased to 4 minutes. The reliability of creating persistent storage on the first launch from a USB drive has been enhanced. A problem with connecting to the Tor network using the default set of bridge nodes has been resolved.
