The new stable version of the note-taking software OutWiker 3.3 has been released. A distinctive feature of the program is that notes are stored in the form of directories with text files, and an arbitrary number of files can be attached to each note. The program allows you to write notes using various notations: HTML, wiki, Markdown (if the corresponding plugin is installed). Additionally, through plugins, you can add the ability to display formulas in LaTeX format on wiki pages and insert code blocks with syntax highlighting for various programming languages. The program is written in Python (with a wxPython interface), distributed under the GPLv3 license, and available in builds for Linux (snap and flatpak) and Windows.
Changes in version 3.3 mainly concern the user interface:
- A new design for the tag cloud.
- Added the ability to filter tags.
- Added the ability to display the tag cloud as a list.
- A button has been added to the tag cloud panel to show only installed tags.
- A context menu has been added for the tag cloud.
- New vector icons in the interface.
- Added the ability to use vector icons for pages.
