On October 27, the developers of the desktop environment Trinity, continuing the development of KDE3 and Qt3 as a fork of their own TQt, announced the release of corrective update number 14.1.3.
Trinity DE (TDE) is positioned as a free graphical environment with low system requirements and extensive customization options. Along with the desktop environment, a comprehensive set of applications based on the TQt library is included. Supported operating systems are GNU/Linux, *BSD, and DilOS. - Support for warnings (FIXME, TODO) for the Rust programming language has been added in kate. (TDE/tdelibs#308)
- A crash in tdelibs has been fixed. (TDE/tdelibs#309)
- In the amarok audio player, the built-in MP4 metadata parser has been replaced with TagLib to prevent crashes when playing MP4 files, and errors in the code have been fixed. (TDE/amarok#67, TDE/tdemultimedia#82, TDE/amarok#66).
The R14.1.4 release is scheduled for April next year. Details about the next release are described in “roadmap” of the project.
