After three months of development, version 24.4 of the popular free planetarium has been released. Stellarium, written in C++ using the Qt framework (versions 5 and 6 are supported) and distributed under the GNU GPL 2 license.
Key Changes:
- Rendering of deep space objects has been improved.
- The telescope management plugin has been upgraded; now using the INDI library v2.1.1.
- Sky cultures have been updated.
- The list of locations has been updated.
- The list of minor bodies has been updated.
- The list of planetary features has been updated.
- Data on the discovery of comets and minor planets has been updated.
- Satellite photometric data has been updated.
- Localizations have been updated.
- The pulsar catalog has been updated.
- Other changes and bug fixes.
