Qucs-S is a program for simulating analog electronic circuits, written in C++ and distributed under GPL 2. You can use Ngspice as a general-purpose simulation engine or QucsatorRF (included with Qucs-S) for microwave devices.
On February 20 of this year, the new release 25.1.0 was announced.
The release includes the following new features:
- The component library has been significantly expanded. Libraries with models of digital ICs from the 74HC, 74LV, and CD4000 series have been added for analog mode (Ngspice). In addition, new libraries with analog ICs, some discrete semiconductor components, and vacuum tubes have been included.
- Support for SPICE models and libraries has been improved.
- Support for digital components XSPICE has been enhanced.
- The property dialog windows for components and equation assignments have been redesigned.
- Support for building with Qt5 has been discontinued. Now only Qt6 is supported.
- Bugs have been fixed.
- QucsatorRF has been updated to version v1.0.4; a bug related to the file converter has been fixed.
