The second release of the Orbitiny Desktop environment has been introduced, developed from scratch using the Qt framework. The project aims to combine some innovative ideas that have not previously been seen in user environments with traditional elements such as panels, menus, and icon placement on the desktop. The code is written in C++ and is distributed under the GPL license. The features of Orbitiny can be seen in the text of the previous announcement.
The new version features a revamped configurator (Control Panel) with a completely redesigned layout, a sidebar added, and integrated search functions. The formation of binary builds has begun.
