The release of Waydroid 1.5 has taken place - a layer for running Android applications in Wayland environments.
This works by running Android in a container. Namespaces for processes, user IDs, network subsystems, and mount points are used. Android in the container has direct access to all necessary hardware.
Key Changes:
- Refactoring the settings for better handling of preconfigured images;
- HALIUM vndk31 and vndk32 are now differentiated;
- The gbinder protocol version for API 33 has been fixed;
- Using intel_hasvk for Intel 8th generation or lower graphics;
- The i915_capabilities read error is not logged;
- SIGINT in lxc.py is handled without Python3 tracing;
- Using the polkitd package in Debian.
