The release of the lsFusion 6.1 project, which develops a declarative platform for building business and web applications, is now available. The platform is suitable for creating enterprise and accounting applications and can be used as an open-source, free alternative to the 1C platform. The project's code is written in Java and is distributed under the LGPLv3 license. The standard ERP solution for small and medium businesses, MyCompany, utilizing lsFusion, is distributed under the Apache 2.0 license.
The platform is based on a function-level combinatorial programming paradigm, which significantly differentiates lsFusion from existing platforms on the market (such as SAP, Dynamics AX, 1C, .Net). It also actively incorporates event-driven, reactive, and object-oriented programming. Version 6.1 focuses on bug fixes, improving integration ease, expanding the language and interface capabilities, and preparing for support of alternative clients.
Key changes in version 6.1:
- Support for the "@@deprecated" annotation to mark obsolete language elements and gradually phase them out.
- Support for MEASURES(groupObject) for constructing multidimensional reports with multiple metrics.
- Ability to pass file names directly in reading and writing operators (READ / WRITE).
- Improved search through PrefixSearch; exact matches now take priority, and a new operator prefixSearchExact has been added for more flexible ranking.
- Support for external action ID EXTID for integration scenarios.
- The UpdateStats action can now be executed automatically on a schedule.
- JSON canonicalization has been provided for correct comparisons/signatures/caching without 'false' differences in field order.
- Refactoring of client actions has been completed in preparation for future support of the Flutter client.
- The start.log file now records the Java version, classpath, and JVM arguments.
- Improved detection and overriding of mobile mode.
