An experimental release of the open implementation of the Win32 API — Wine 11.4 has been published. Since the release of 11.3, 17 bug reports have been closed and 211 changes have been made.
The most significant changes:
- Development of the msxml3 library (Microsoft® XML Core Services), required for the installation of Adobe Cloud products, including Adobe Photoshop, has continued. Support for the SAX Reader interface has been added to msxml3, implementing an event-driven model for processing XML documents, enabling the handling of XML structures during streaming reading without loading the entire XML document into memory.
- DirectSound implementation has been optimized for sample rate conversion operations.
- An initial implementation of the CFGMGR32 library, used for managing device configurations, has been proposed. Calls have been added: CM_Get_Class_Property_Keys, CM_Get_Device_Interface_List, CM_Get_Device_Interface_Property, CM_Get_Device_Interface_Property_Keys, as well as handlers for working with device properties.
- Time zone matching has been improved.
- Bug reports related to the operation of applications have been closed: Xara Xtreme 4, Explorer++, CodeGear RAD Studio 2009, FL Studio 12.4, Janetter 4.1.1.0, Xilinx Vivado 2014.4, iZotope, Native Access 2, ROMCenter, SSFpres.
- Bug reports related to the operation of games have been closed: Gag, Roblox Studio.
