The developers of the Python programming language visualized the changes in the codebase of the CPython interpreter in relation to the major events that occurred during the 36 years of the project's existence. Over the past 10 years, the amount of code in Python and C within CPython has nearly doubled. The utility cloc was used to count the number of lines of code.
