The companies will work together to create a unified platform for accelerated threat mitigation, which is especially relevant in light of the growing popularity of vibe coding attacks. Initially, Google approached Wiz in 2024 with a $23 billion offer but was turned down. CEO Assaf Rappaport noted at the time that the business could grow to much larger scales. Negotiations resumed in early 2025, and in March, a new deal price was announced. The deal closed after receiving regulatory approval from the U.S. in November 2025 and from the EU in February 2026.
