Huawei has expanded its range of Mate 80 smartphones with the new Mate 80 Pro Max Wind Edition model. This differs from previously released models. Mate 80, Mate 80 Pro, Mate 80 Pro Max, and Mate 80 RS Master Edition. The new model stands out with an integrated fan. Pre-orders for the smartphone are already being accepted in China, and it is expected to go on sale from March 23.
Huawei has not shared the full technical specifications for the Mate 80 Pro Max Wind Edition. However, according to the online marketplace Vmall, the device is offered in configurations with 16/512 GB and 16 GB/1 TB of memory.
Images of the back panel of the Mate 80 Pro Max Wind Edition show that the edge of the round camera module is equipped with a ventilation grill. It is likely that the fan pulls in or blows out air through this grill.
The inclusion of a fan required the manufacturer to make a compromise. While previous versions are equipped with a set of four main cameras, the Mate 80 Pro Max Wind Edition version has only three sensors.
The Mate 80 Pro Max Wind Edition is available in Polar Night Black and Polar Day Gold colors. The price of the smartphone has not been disclosed.
It is quite likely that the other specifications of the device match those of the standard Mate 80 Pro Max. The latter, as a reminder, features a 6.9-inch LTPO AMOLED display, a Kirin 9030 Pro processor, and a 6000 mAh battery with support for 100W wired charging and 80W wireless charging.
