A minor release of the operating system "Alt Education" 11.1 has been released. The build is prepared for x86_64 and AArch64 based on kernel 6.12 (LTS).

In the new image
- Now during installation, you can choose only one desktop environment — KDE Plasma or Xfce. By default, the system offers the updated KDE Plasma 6.
- An application has been added "Alt Components" for managing components in the interface. The application includes mechanisms to protect the system from accidental deletion of critically important packages. These are new mechanisms in Alterator:
- Edition protection.
- Protection of manual installations.
Advanced users and system administrators have been left the option to disable these restrictions.
- Now the installer allows you to choose to install the certificate ESPD (Unified Data Transmission Network). After that, to connect to the educational institution's secure network, it is enough to specify the proxy server (provided by the organization). This eliminates the need to connect to a regular (public) network and reduces the risk of errors when manually configuring the certificate.
