An experimental release of the open implementation of the Win32 API — Wine 11.6 has been published. Since the release of 11.5, 28 bug reports have been closed and 261 changes made.
The most significant changes:
- Work has resumed on the wineandroid driver, enabling operation on the Android platform.
- Heuristics for determining the order of loading DLL libraries have been added to improve support for game modifications.
- Work continues to improve compatibility with VBScript.
- The issue causing crashes in some programs compiled with AVX instruction support has been resolved.
- The issue with saving settings in .NET-based applications has been resolved.
- Bug reports related to applications have been closed: Homesite+, Win3.1 Notepad, StarOffice51, Google Earth Installer, DigiCertUtil, PDFSam Installer, DVDFab, DCS World, HWiNFO 8.24, pdf-xchange editor 10.8.4.409, Neko Project, Buhl Tax 2026, EIZO ColorNavigator 6.
- Bug reports related to games have been closed: Cyberpunk 2077, Mount & Blade: Warband, Minecraft Windows 10 Edition, Diablo IV, DOAXVV, Creature reaction inside the ship! 1.5.
