Google has begun expanding Gemini personalization

At the beginning of the year, Google introduced the feature "Personal Intelligence" (Personal Intelligence), which allows the chatbot Gemini to incorporate all the information that the user has shared with Google services into the context of their conversation. Now, this feature's audience will significantly expand.

Google has begun expanding Gemini personalization

"Personal Intelligence" analyzes the content and the user's history with services like Gmail, Photos, YouTube, and Search, extracting the most relevant data to meet their requests. For example, the AI can determine the make and model of a car to answer questions about its tires. This information can be sourced from Google Photos, and if the system cannot find the necessary details on its own, it may prompt the user to fill in the gaps.

Initially, access to "Personal Intelligence" was limited to subscribers of the paid plans AI Pro and AI Ultra in the U.S., but now the feature will become available worldwide, except in Switzerland, the UK, and countries in the European Economic Area. Besides the expensive plans, subscribers of the more affordable AI Plus will also be able to use this offering, and the feature will operate in all languages supported by Gemini.

In the future, users who have not subscribed to any paid plan at all will also be able to connect to "Personal Intelligence" — initially, Americans will gain access to enhanced personalization, followed by holders of all other free accounts. Google did not specify an exact date but promised that the number of users on free plans will increase in the coming weeks.
