The release of nxs-universal-chart 3.0 has been published, a toolkit for deploying applications in Kubernetes. The platform is modular and operates based on independent nuc-* sub-charts, which are published through the OCI registry and integrated into the main chart package as dependencies for specific tasks, allowing the application and its required wrappers to be assembled within a single Helm release. Modules for traffic management, monitoring, AI inference, and other infrastructure elements in Kubernetes are built on top of the main chart package. The project is distributed under the Apache 2.0 license and utilizes Istio, KServe, KNative, and Vault Secret Operator.
In the new release, the universal chart package has been transformed into a modular platform for delivering applications in Kubernetes. A schema.json validation has been added, which helps identify errors before deployment. Deterministic rendering has been implemented to minimize noise in diffs and exclude unintended changes in manifests. Additional levels of automated checks for templates, values contracts, and dependencies have been introduced (unit tests based on helm-unittest, e2e tests via kind, and artifact signing with cryptographic signatures using cosign). The distribution of chart packages through the OCI registry and releases through ArtifactHub has been ensured.
