Daniel Stenberg, the author of the curl tool for transferring data over the network, has announced a suspension of acceptance and processing of vulnerability reports from July 1 to August 3. The only exception will be for senders using paid support. The reason given is the need for a break and rest after a significant increase in the workload of analyzing vulnerability reports over the past four months.
Messages sent through the Hackerone form and email security@curl.se during this time will not be considered. The ability to submit pull requests and report issues via GitHub will remain available, but the analysis of the accumulated vulnerability reports will only begin after August 3.
