An urgent patch update for Firefox 152.0.3 has been released, resolving an issue that led to freezing at startup and uncontrolled memory consumption (~10 GB immediately after launch) in configurations with installed language packs. The crash occurs only in the Firefox 152.0.2 release and is caused by a regression due to an incorrect fix in version 152.0.2 for the issue that resulted in locale mismatches in the new tab widgets after changing the language in settings. In version 152.0.2, this regression caused a continuous regeneration of the localization cache with each request during the page content generation of the new tab while a language pack is active.
