The social network "VKontakte" reported the first results of its VK Coin virtual currency earning service, built on the VK Apps platform.
The launch of the VK Coin system was announced on April 1, and many users took this announcement as a joke. However, VKontakte now claims that the project turned out to be quite popular.
In just four days, 4 million people used the service, with the maximum number of players exceeding 800,000. The system operates in the VK mobile app for iOS and Android. To earn virtual currency, you need to press the blue button with the VK Pay logo: each touch earns 0.001 VK Coin.
"The service continues to develop and receives additional features. The game has new 'boosts' — virtual items that allow coins to be credited automatically. One becomes available when the user creates a VK Pay account, and another after identification in VK Pay and obtaining an upgraded status," notes the social network.
It is reported that a 'Store' will operate on the basis of the service: users will be able to exchange their earned virtual money for offers from partners. Users can receive discount coupons ranging from 5% to 20% when ordering from Delivery Club, which are valid for two months. The cost of coupons will be between 50 and 500 thousand coins.
Additionally, along with their personal account, users can top up the community balance — it's enough to start the game from the service installed in the group.
