Xiaomi has introduced the first TV of the new ART TV series (or Mural TV): a 65-inch 4K panel based on a Samsung display.
The TV is just 13.9 mm thick. Thanks to its flat back, the panel can be pressed close to the wall, mimicking a painting. In standby mode, the Mi ART TV can display artworks from 45 authors in 22 genres.
The new model boasts a resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels. HDR 10 support is claimed, and the viewing angle reaches 178 degrees.
The panel connects via the Mi Port connector to the main module, which contains key electronic components. It features a quad-core 1.8 GHz Amologic processor with a Mali-T830 graphics accelerator, 2 GB of RAM, a 32 GB flash drive, and wireless connectivity adapters for Wi-Fi 802.11ac (2.4/5 GHz) and Bluetooth.
The main module functions as a soundbar. It has HDMI ports (×3), USB ports (×2), and Ethernet. The package also includes a separate subwoofer.
The new model uses the proprietary PatchWall software platform. The remote control supports Bluetooth and voice commands.
The 65-inch Xiaomi Mi ART TV will be available for an estimated price of $1,050.
