The company Allwinner is reportedly set to announce at least four processors for mobile devices soon—primarily for tablets.
In particular, the announcement of the Allwinner A50, Allwinner A100, Allwinner A200, and Allwinner A300/A301 chips is being prepared. Currently, detailed information is only available about the first of these products.
The Allwinner A50 processor will feature four ARM Cortex-A7 computing cores with a clock speed of up to 1.8 GHz and a Mali400 MP2 graphics accelerator supporting OpenGL ES 2.0/1.1, Direct3D 11.1, and OpenVG 1.1. The chip will enable the use of DDR4/DD3/DD3L/LPDDR3/LPDDR4 RAM, eMMC 5.0 flash memory, displays with a resolution of up to Full HD (1920 × 1080 pixels), and more. It is said to be compatible with the Android 8.1 operating system and above.
The Allwinner A100 processor is expected to use ARM Cortex-A55 compute cores. As for the Allwinner A200 and Allwinner A300/A301 solutions, they are rumored to feature ARM Cortex A7x/A5x cores.
Thus, the new chips will allow for the creation of devices of varying levels for different price segments. The official announcement of the processors is expected later this year.
