In the mobile sector, which includes smartphone and tablet users, Chrome also leads with 63.5% of the audience. Safari is the second most popular with a 26.4% market share, and third is the Chinese QQ Browser with 2.7%. Last month, 1.8% of mobile device owners browsed the web using Firefox, with approximately 1.5% of them accessing web pages through the classic Android browser. Google’s products dominate all segments of the browser market.

It is worth noting that despite Microsoft Edge's rather shaky position in the global browser market, the software giant's development team continues to enhance and improve their product. Just recently, the company announced released a new version of the Edge web browser based on the open-source Chromium project. By betting on Open Source, Microsoft hopes to jump on the last train leaving the station and attract the user audience to their side.
