Microsoft continues to enhance its Edge browser based on Chromium. The latest build on the Canary update channel (daily updates) includes a version with a built-in "Incognito" mode. It is reported that this mode will be similar to similar features in other browsers.
In particular, it has been stated that Microsoft Edge will not save browsing history, files and site data, various filled forms — passwords, addresses, and so on — when opening pages in this mode. However, the download list and "Favorites" will be logged by the browser. This is normal practice, as true privacy enthusiasts do not use "Incognito" for disguise.
It should be noted that earlier reports mentioned the appearance of , built-in , as well as the ability to with the mobile version of the browser. However, some proprietary Google services still the new "blue" web browser. The company stated that this is due to the testing status of the program. Once the innovation reaches release, it will be added to the "whitelist of browsers" for Google Docs.
It is expected that the finished version will be available within this year, although no exact date has been specified in Redmond yet. It is possible that its release will coincide with the fall update of Windows 10 or be delayed until spring 2020. However, given the standalone installer for the program, it might be released separately as well. In any case, it will be quite interesting since Microsoft and Google have joined efforts to create a common product. What will come of this — we will see.
