The acquisition of NGINX by F5 Networks has been successfully completed

F5 Networks announced announces the successful completion announced in March of the acquisition deal for NGINX. NGINX is now officially part of F5 Networks and will be transformed into a separate business division. The deal was valued at $670 million.

F5 Networks will continue the development of the open-source NGINX project and support for the community that has formed around it. The distribution of NGINX products will continue under the same brands. Notably, there are plans for a more active development of the NGINX Controller project, which will also involve F5 engineers. Plans also include the integration of NGINX and F5 technologies, resulting in the release of a new product.
