A new version of the Linux distribution Peppermint 10 has been released.
The main features of the distribution include:
- Based on the package base of Ubuntu 18.04 LTS.
- Available in both x32 and x64 bit versions.
- The desktop is a blend of LXDE and Xfce.
- Support for technologies Site Specific Browsers and Ice Application for integrating web applications into the operating system and launching them as standalone programs.
- Linux Mint repositories.
Key changes in the new version:
- Linux kernel 4.18.0-18, which will gradually be upgraded to version 5.xx.
- The proprietary Nvidia driver installs automatically if the option 'Install third party drivers/software' is selected during the distribution installation.
- The Ice package 6.0.2 now supports isolated profiles for Chromium, Chrome, and Vivaldi SSB (Firefox SSBs are always isolated).
- A new tool for adjusting DPI of system fonts.
- New package versions: the ISO includes all updates up to May 14, 2019, in version 18.04 LTS, including nemo 4.0.6, mintinstall 7.9.7, mintstick 1.39, neofetch 6.0.1, xed 2.0.2, xplayer 2.0.2, xviewer 2.0.2.
