A new version of the Tails distribution, designed for anonymous internet access, has been released.
Change log:
- Tor Browser has been updated to version 8.5.
- The Linux kernel has been updated to version 4.19.37.
- All available Linux methods for protecting against MDS vulnerabilities in Intel processors have been activated, and SMT has been disabled.
- The Pidgin and OpenPGP applets have been returned to the top navigation panel.
- Graphical applications removed: Gobby, Pitivi, Traverso. Command-line utilities removed: hopenpgp-tools, keyringer, monkeysign, monkeysphere, msva-perl, paperkey, pwgen, ssss, pdf-redact-tools. It can be installed through the application installation center.
