Allwinner has developed the V316 processor, designed for use in sports cameras capable of recording high-definition footage.
The product features two ARM Cortex-A7 computing cores with a clock speed of up to 1.2 GHz. It includes the HawkView 6.0 image processing processor with intelligent noise reduction capabilities.
It supports working with H.264/H.265 materials. Video can be recorded in 4K (3840 × 2160 pixels) at 30 frames per second.
The Allwinner V316 chip also allows recording videos in Full HD (1920 × 1080 pixels) at 120 frames per second. When selecting HD (1280 × 720 pixels) format, the frame rate reaches 240 fps.
The Allwinner V316 chip is manufactured using 28-nanometer technology. The declared power consumption is 2 watts when recording high-definition 4K video.
The Allwinner V316 processor will serve as the foundation for affordable action cameras.
