Two-factor authentication support has been added to the PyPI package catalog.

In PyPI, a package directory for developers in Python, has added two-factor authentication support to protect your account in case the main password is compromised. This feature is available to all registered users of the directory.

Currently, the two-factor authentication methods include supported time-limited one-time passwords (TOTP), generated using a special mobile application. For generating one-time passwords, applications like FreeOTP, FreeOTP+, Google Authenticator, Authy and
Duo Mobile. In the future, support for Yubikeys as a second verification factor is planned.
