E Ink itself also has a 13.3-inch solution for holding paperless conferences, and the portfolio of developments in this area will only continue to grow. Currently, the company is offsetting the decreasing interest in e-readers with a growing interest in electronic price tags featuring E Ink displays. Clients from the United States, Europe, China, and Japan significantly increased their purchases of this product in the first quarter of 2019. Specifically, together with its partner SES-imagotag, deliveries of E Ink price tags were started to the Japanese retail chain Bic Camera. This and other price tag orders have increased E Ink's net profit in the first quarter year-on-year by 9.6 times to $13.89 million (438 million new Taiwan dollars).
