, on 2019-05-29, an update for the Solaris 11.4 operating system SRU 9 was released, which offers a series of subsequent fixes and improvements for the Solaris 11.4 branch.
To install the suggested fixes in the update, users simply need to execute the command ‘pkg update’.
What's new and what has been updated:
- The Hardware Management Pack has been updated to version 2.4.6 with support for the Mellanox CX5 25G network adapter and AIC Aura8;
- Oracle Explorer 19.2 is now available (a toolkit for creating detailed configuration and system state profiles);
- New Python modules tempora, portend, and setuptools_scm have been included, necessary for supporting CherryPy;
- PHP bindings for Graphviz PHP have been updated to version 7;
- The gmime package 3.2.3 has been added, which now comes alongside the previously available gmime 2.6.23;
- Additionally, the versions of Ruby 2.6, Node.js 8.15.1, pycups 1.9.74, pinentry 1.1.0, libgpg-error 1.31, tmux 2.8, Firefox 60.6.3esr, GNU coreutils 8.30, and Automake 1.16.1 have been updated.
- Vulnerabilities in packages have also been addressed (the packages were updated) by fixing vulnerabilities: gnupg 2.2.8 (libassuan 2.5.1 and gpgme 1.11.1 were also added), libgcrypt 1.8.3, webkitgk 2.22.6, binutils 2.32, Apache httpd 2.4.39, Apache Tomcat 8.5.39, Wireshark 2.6.8, pcre 8.42, Thunderbird 60.6.1, setuptools 39.x, pip 10.x, and django 1.11.20.
