Grasshopper Manufacture is working on No More Heroes III — the third installment of the widely known series, helmed by game designer Suda51. The project will be exclusive to Nintendo Switch and is set to be released in 2020.
The main character will once again be Travis Touchdown, and the events will unfold ten years after the ending of the first No More Heroes. The character will return to his hometown of Santa Destroy, now replaced by a massive artificial metropolis located by the sea, with a mysterious flying object high above it. "What crazy and dangerous assassins will he encounter in this strange new world?" question the developers.
"This year we released Travis Strikes Again, and now we are able to realize our dream and create No More Heroes III," says Suda51. "Every day we are working hard on this project so that NMHIII exceeds the expectations of fans who have long awaited a full-fledged sequel, and development will be completed in 2020."
Robin Atkin Downes and Paula Tiso will once again voice Travis Touchdown and Sylvia Christel. Additionally, a plethora of new compositions written by musician and actor Nobuaki Kaneko from the band RIZE is promised. By the way, Travis Strikes Again — and perhaps Grasshopper's new project will someday appear outside of Switch.
