Release of the minimalist distribution Alpine Linux 3.10

Took place release Alpine Linux 3.10, a minimalist distribution based on the system library Musl and a set of utilities BusyBox. The distribution features enhanced security requirements and is built with SSP (Stack Smashing Protection) patches. OpenRC is used as the initialization system, and its own package manager apk is used for package management. Alpine is conducted for creating official Docker container images. Bootable ISO images (x86_64, x86, armhf, aarch64, armv7, ppc64le, s390x) are prepared in five variants: standard (124 MB), with an unpatched kernel (116 MB), extended (424 MB), and for virtual machines (36 MB).

In the new release:

• Included is a Wi-Fi daemon IWD, developed by Intel as an alternative to wpa_supplicant;
• Support for serial port and Ethernet has been added for ARM platforms;
• Packages with distributed storage and the Ceph file system have been added;
• A display manager has been added LightDM;
• The package versions have been updated: Linux kernel 4.19.53,
