Some time ago, it became known that an official website dedicated to the Huawei HongMeng OS appeared on the Internet. It contained various information, including technical specifications of the platform, news, and more.
Initially, many found the website to be strange. It featured outdated information, and the visual design was quite informal. The domain name used (hmxt.org), the style of information presentation, and much more raised questions. As a result, some journalists made official inquiries to Huawei regarding the ownership of this resource.
Thus, it was possible to obtain an official response from Huawei representatives, stating that the aforementioned resource is not an official page for the HongMeng OS. Furthermore, an unnamed company employee reported that information regarding the imminent release of the Huawei operating system is not valid.
Recall that previously, Yu Chengdong, the CEO of Huawei's consumer division, stated that the official release of the HongMeng operating system could take place as early as this fall. However, later information emerged that the company does not yet have an exact date for the OS launch in the consumer market. Earlier, the founder and CEO of Huawei, Ren Zhengfei, indicated that the company does not intend to abandon the use of Android, but if that were to happen in the future, Google might lose 700-800 million users worldwide.
