The concern 'Avtomatika', part of the state corporation Rostec, presented the advanced complex 'Sapsan-Bekas' at the International Military-Technical Forum 'Army-2019', designed to counter unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
'Sapsan-Bekas' is a mobile system built on the basis of a compact van. The complex is noted for its ability to disable both civilian and military drones.
'Sapsan-Bekas' can monitor airspace around the clock and identify aerial objects using video and thermal imaging surveillance systems.
The complex includes means of radio-electronic detection and tracking of drones, active radar, video and optoelectronic guidance, as well as a radio jamming subsystem.
'Sapsan-Bekas' can detect drones from a distance of up to 10 kilometers. Jamming of communication and control systems of UAVs is carried out at distances exceeding 6 kilometers.
The jamming of UAVs within the complex is carried out by the 'Luch' subsystem. It affects the navigation, control, and information transmission channels of the drone, emitting interference simultaneously in 11 frequency bands. The system operates on the principle of 'friend-or-foe' — 'Luch' does not affect UAVs whose information has been pre-entered into the complex's database.
