Recently, the Spotify Lite app has officially become available in the Google Play digital content store in 36 countries, with plans for further distribution in the future. Residents of developing regions in Asia, Latin America, the Middle East, and Africa can already use Spotify Lite.
The Spotify Lite app features a simple and intuitive interface that is easy to navigate. Some functionalities of the standard app have been removed, but users can still search for artists and songs, save them, share tracks with friends, discover new music, and create playlists.
The app can be used for free or with a premium account. Additionally, users can combine both the standard and lightweight versions when in areas with inadequate internet connection speeds. This function will be useful for those on limited data plans, as the app will automatically notify users when they reach their set limit.
Like other Lite apps, the lightweight version of Spotify is compact in size (around 10 MB). This means it can be used by those who do not have enough space to install larger applications. Furthermore, Spotify Lite is compatible with all mobile devices running the Android OS, starting from version 4.3.
