(Kenneth Reitz) is a well-known software engineer, international speaker, open source advocate, street photographer, and electronic music producer. He invites open source developers to take on the role of maintainer for one of his repositories that contain libraries for Python:
Also, projects are available for maintainer roles and rights to become 'owners.'
Kenneth stated, 'In the spirit of transparency, I would like to (publicly) find a new home for my repositories. I want to be able to contribute to them but no longer be considered the 'owner,' 'arbiter,' or 'BDFL' of these repositories. I will choose you (or your organization) to support the project if you have a consistent history of open source software development, show enthusiasm/l eagerness to learn, or have a vested interest in maintaining this project. Some projects are associated with domains. They are also included in the transfer.'
Kenneth is also not ruling out the possibility of selling his projects, as he is experiencing financial difficulties and is currently looking for work. Only serious offers will be considered, and funding will not influence the maintainer's decisions. A condition is also to maintain the open nature and community influence on the future of these projects.
