Ubisoft details of the major update "Sunken Treasures" for Anno 1800. It will introduce a six-hour storyline with dozens of new quests.
The storyline will revolve around the disappearance of the queen. Her search will send players to a new cape — Trelawney, where they will meet the inventor Nate. He will offer players the chance to hunt for treasures.
The new quest line will unlock after the player gathers 700 artisans. Trelawney is three times larger than any island from the base game. The developers stated that they created the map according to fans’ requests: it features very fertile lands and plenty of resources.
Thanks to the inventor Nate, the game has introduced a crafts system. He is willing to share his inventions if you offer the right price. The inventor will also assist in the search for sunken treasures and in developing technologies to the necessary level.
"With the new crafts system, we wanted to provide you with a tool to create the items you desire. Since players will have full access to Nate's blueprints, they will be able to plan ahead and work on creating more powerful inventions. We can’t wait to see how veterans of the game take advantage of the new opportunities to enhance their empire’s potential," said the official statement.
This is the first of three major expansions for Anno 1800. Its release is scheduled for July 30, 2019. "Sunken Treasures" can be purchased as a standalone expansion or as part of the season pass.
Anno 1800 is the seventh game in the popular economic series. It was released on April 16, 2019, for PC. The project received positive from critics and an 81 score on Metacritic.
