In the latest Windows 10 Insider Preview build number 18950 concerning ‘cloud’ backup. Essentially, this is analogous to a feature in macOS. There, the combination of Option-Command-R or Shift-Option-Command-R upon startup initiates a connection to the Internet to download the latest OS version.
It is reported that this feature might appear only next spring, as it is part of the Insider build from the 20H1 series. Aside from the ‘cloud’ backup, it includes an enhanced Snip & Sketch tool, bug fixes, and more.
Overall, it seems that Windows 10 is genuinely improving. The German organization AV-TEST reported that based on testing, Windows Defender has become an antivirus solution that performs on par with products from Kaspersky and Symantec. It received the highest possible rating of 18 points, indicating that it is user-friendly, fast, and provides the necessary level of protection.
F-Secure SAFE, Kaspersky Internet Security, and Symantec Norton Security also earned perfect scores. Avast Free Antivirus, AVG Internet Security, Bitdefender Internet Security, Trend Micro Internet Security, and VIPRE Security Advanced Security received 0.5 points less. Webroot SecureAnywhere scored only 11.5 points.
