Edge also has a number of features that are not available in Google’s browser, including:
- Text-to-speech conversion, allowing users to read the content of websites;
- Blocking tracking from resources;
- Customization options for new tabs;
- Microsoft Edge Insider extension store for extensions (also supports the Google Chrome Web Store);

According to the company, the beta version is the final step before the release, although it is not expected anytime soon. It is assumed that the final build may be available no earlier than the end of 2019 or the beginning of 2020. Meanwhile, beta versions will be updated every 6 weeks.
